Sustainability in everyday life

It doesn't always have to be grand solutions to contribute to more sustainability. If many people make a small contribution, it can easily have a big impact.
So how can sustainability be easily integrated into everyday life? Of course, with urbanfarm, thanks to indoor farming, you can make an easy contribution. Since it looks like a vertical garden, it is also very decorative. Today, however, we want to focus on upcycling and regrowing. Oh, and a quick look at the Cradle to Cradle approach. We want to use this approach for our production.
Upcycling
Upcycling describes the reuse of seemingly useless or waste products. The prime example is certainly the reuse of pallets in the form of a bench made from them. But of course, there are many simpler examples that occur more often in everyday life: The last wine bottle can easily be transformed into a beautiful vase or glass, corks can be used for a floating candle, and old socks make excellent arm holders for a mobile phone while jogging. There are no limits to creativity here. Just check out Pinterest.
Regrowing
Regrowing describes the process of allowing plants to regrow, especially vegetable scraps. So, you don't throw the stalk of the harvested plant in the trash, but instead place it, for example, in a glass of water, making sure to change the water regularly. After a maximum of 2 weeks, you should transplant the sprouting stalk into a pot with potting soil and provide it with plenty of light and warmth. This allows the plant to grow back almost completely. Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration here.
Cradle to Cradle
Cradle to Cradle can be compared a little with upcycling. We are also very convinced by this sustainable approach and in the next blog we will show you what Cradle to Cradle is all about and how we intend to integrate it into our operations.
Stay tuned!
