urbanhive is growing

Sven and Jonas launched in May 2020 with many ideas in mind. The vision was clear: they wanted to put nature back at the center of life with smart technology. Since then, every day has been used to make this vision a reality.

The homefarm is an indoor farming system developed for your own home. Unlike previous products, the homefarm is space-saving, expandable, and yields high returns. This brings urban gardening into your own four walls. The homefarm is above all easy to use and more than just a nice gimmick, as it can produce pounds of vegetables, salads, herbs, and microgreens. Fruits and other product innovations are already in the pipeline.

To ensure that not only the homefarm is "state of the art," another co-founder has been on board since May 2021. Michael is a programmer and app developer.

Michael is the tech tinkerer. Thanks to him, a really cool urbanhive app will soon be available. The product idea and the challenge at urbanhive appealed to him so much that he jumped on the urbanhive bandwagon from a renowned IT company. Michael passionately loves playing soccer, enjoys road cycling, and is always up for a game of darts or chess. He dreams of getting a pilot's license one day.

Sven is a trained carpenter, passionate gardener, and our product developer. Creating true value is his drive. He wants to bring people and nature back into harmony. For him, it is essential that we act more sustainably through innovative solutions. Sven is an enthusiastic craftsman, true to the motto: Just do it! Whether it's a shovel, a mini excavator, or a drawing pen. He lives out his creativity not only in product development but also in the garden. Fun fact: When leaving the house, he has to be careful not to accidentally have a pen behind his ear.

Jonas is our man for all things commercial. He dreamed of founding a company early on. The idea of making a positive impact on the environment with a startup excited him so much that he immediately quit his job as a business consultant. Jonas is a sports fanatic. Whether it's a spontaneous half marathon, road cycling, or skydiving. He loves challenges. Fun fact: Although he hates bananas above all else, he indulges in his daily portion.
