The specially developed plant capsules contain all the important nutrients as well as the seeds of the respective greens, or you can choose to purchase the experimental capsules and fill them with your own seeds. Simply insert the plant capsules into your homefarm and the rest happens automatically. There are currently 25 different capsules. And everything is 100% peat-free, 100% plastic-free, and 100% pesticide-free.

We have invested a lot in research and development for the material of the plant capsules, so that remains our trade secret. But one thing we can say is that the plant capsules are peat-free, sustainable, and 100% biodegradable.

The plant pods only absorb the necessary amount of water, which prevents mold growth. Additionally, the homefarm is equipped with targeted air holes to allow air circulation. Furthermore, the plants are covered to prevent mold and algae growth.

Yes, we do without all chemical agents so that you can eat even healthier with your own plants and don't have to worry about pesticides. The plant capsules are therefore made of 100% natural materials, so you can enjoy your greens without washing them.

This depends on both the plant variety and the harvesting behavior. As a rule of thumb, however, you can remember that annual plants do not regrow after the main harvest season and therefore need to be replaced. Perennial plants regrow after harvesting and have a longer lifespan.

When you order a salad or herbs from us, you receive a package of plant pods. You then simply place these into your homefarm. But have you ever wondered what the plant pod is made of? The plant pod essentially consists of two components. The base is a substrate. This substrate, which consists of coconut fibers, also contains all the nutrients important for the plants. Inside the plant pod are the seeds of the respective greens. The plant pod is sealed with a cork and the urbanhive label. You must remove both when planting, and then the fun can begin.
