Optimal setting of the LED bars
Although the farm was developed to make growing your own at home as easy as possible, there are a few helpful tips that support the successful growth of your plants.
The right position of the LED bars is an important factor here. If the plants are too close to the lights, so-called "sunburn" can occur, causing the leaves to dry out. Conversely, if the distance between the LED bar and the plant is too great, plants grow "leggy", especially during the germination phase. That means they put a lot of energy into growing tall during germination instead of growing wide.
This happens when the LED bar sits too high and the plant doesn't get enough light. The optimal distance is about 3 cm.
To avoid this, you should regularly adjust the LED bars to the growing conditions of your plants. Since plants grow at different rates, you have the option of placing plants of roughly the same height together in one plant box. That makes an even distance between the LED bar and the plants possible. Especially when you insert new plant capsules, make sure the LED units are as low as possible to get the best possible growth.
