Cleaning your farm

Another important task is looking after the water tanks. They should be cleaned regularly and then refilled with fresh water and the liquid nutrients so that the plants are properly supplied. You can either wash the individual parts of the farm by hand or put them in the dishwasher. There is one exception: the transparent propagation domes should not go in the dishwasher, as they can warp.

We recommend cleaning every 6-7 weeks. Your plants will thank you, because cleaning not only means fresh water is added but also that accumulated micro-organisms are removed. This also prevents possible infestations, which spread far less often when water tanks are cleaned regularly.
