Harvesting plants and inserting new capsules

1. What happens in a plant's final phase?
Towards the end, plants sometimes form substances that make the taste more bitter or can even be unhealthy. Some plants start to wilt. At this point at the latest you should insert a new plant capsule and experience the magic all over again
2. How do I remove a fully harvested plant and dispose of it?
The easiest way is to take the plant insert out of the plant box and put it on your sink or near your compost bin. Don't forget to remove the white capsule cover, as you'll need it again for the next growing round. Then you can put the completely harvested plant together with the plant capsule and roots into the organic waste.
3. Do I have to clean the plant box or other accessories?
We recommend cleaning regularly every 6 - 8 weeks. Depending on the condition, cleaning the plant box by hand is enough. Simply unhook it, take out the plant inserts, rinse them, refill with fresh water including liquid nutrients and your plants will be happy again. Cleaning can therefore be nicely integrated before refilling the planters.
If the deposits are already more advanced or you are replanting, we recommend cleaning the plant box and the individual parts in the dishwasher to give the new plants a perfect start and to prevent pest infestation. The propagation domes can also be cleaned in the dishwasher, but not on the highest setting, as they can warp at too high a temperature.
