Can vegetables also be grown with the Basic LEDs?

In principle, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, cucumbers or flowering plants can also be grown with the Basic LEDs or the homefarm 1.0. Growth does take a little longer, though, and the yield is somewhat lower.

That is because the Basic LEDs and the LEDs of the homefarm 1.0 run at 5 W. The Advanced LEDs run at 15 W and can be used with the minifarm and the homefarm 2.0. The Advanced LEDs therefore have considerably more power and give the plant more light to grow. The LEDs are plug-in and can be changed easily.

Herbs and lettuces, on the other hand, grow best at 5 W, i.e. with the Basic LEDs.
