Growing with plant capsules is very easy:

Simply place the capsule in one of your free plant baskets and in a few weeks you can enjoy your first harvest.

Due to the special design of the plant basket, the capsule is always supplied with the right amount of water. This way, your plant can neither dry out nor be overwatered.

Hand-picked seed selection

When hand-selecting our seeds, we prioritize organic seeds that ensure a full-bodied flavor in the plants and are highly digestible. We focus on the best seed quality and regionality. Before the seeds finally make it into our assortment, they are extensively tested by our plant teams.

Insert and enjoy

The capsules provide the seeds with their perfect environment. The capsules are made of natural materials and are peat-free. They have an ideal pH value and are free of pesticides, fungicides, and all that other stuff. Best of all, they permanently retain their shape. For complete convenience, we ensure that they are already enriched with mineral fertilizer and even contain the seeds. That's why we fill them here in Münster/Hiltrup.

Healthier and Fresher

30 Seconds

Growing herbs, microgreens, and lettuces with the homefarm, harvesting them, and eating them directly provides many times more nutrients. This can even be up to 70 times more. This also has positive effects on taste and freshness.

Weeks

Herbs from the supermarket often have a long journey behind them after harvesting or are overloaded with fertilizers. In addition, there are temperature fluctuations, storage times, and stresses. All of this has negative effects on nutrients, taste, and freshness.

Long harvest vs. wilting plastic pot

The capsule technology of the homefarm ensures a very long lifespan for your plants. Compared to herb pots from the supermarket, it is on average 4 times longer.

Sustainable

Achieving something great together

Positive impact for people and
nature, plant by plant. The plant capsules and the homefarm ensure a very sustainable cultivation method.

The urbanhive community has so far saved 9,000,000 transport kilometers, 288,000 liters of water and 0.2 tons of single-use plastic.

And that is just the beginning. The more people who join in, the greater the impact. Above all, people were able to marvel at the wonder of nature, day and night, within their own four walls, and observe how a tiny seed became an edible, flavorful plant.

Germination Guarantee

The homefarm, seeds, capsules, and app form a perfect symbiosis for good growth, yield, and, most importantly, taste. That's why we offer a germination guarantee for every plant capsule. If a capsule doesn't germinate, simply send us a photo of the plant capsule and you'll receive a free replacement with your next order.
