Yes, you can. That's what the experiment capsules are for. These are empty plant capsules that you can fill with your own seeds.
If you find that you only want to grow microgreens, you can purchase more microgreen trays from the shop and use them to replace the grow baskets in your homefarm. The same goes for the other way around, of course.
Since the plant capsules can only absorb a limited amount of nutrients, the nutrient solution supplements this. This makes your plants grow faster and stronger.
We recommend replacing the plant wicks once or twice a year to keep your homefarm clean. The same applies to microgreen wicks.
